With Covid-19 restrictions being lifted by the Government in England, our Sections are planning for a summer of Scouting. We will still adhere to Government and Scouting Association advice and will be concentrating on outdoor activities. But even more than ever we do need help to run out meetings. Please see our latest poster and get in touch if you can help in anyway, so our young people can get the most out of Scouting. You can email us at email@example.com
As we head into the warmer weather and Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, many more people will be attracted to the waters of Testwood Lakes. These are owned by Souther Water and managed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. Eling Sea Scouts and Sailability are licenced to use the lake for boating by a special agreement, but public use of the lakes, including swimming, is NOT permitted.
Royston Group from Lyndhurst have recently helped the Group by spring-cleaning the outside of the building.
Many thanks to Royston Group for their continued and generous support. You can read about it here
In this strange year Scouting has been very different, but we will still remember those who, over the years, have made the greatest sacrifice to secure our freedom and way of life. We have laid our traditional wreath at the Totton War Memorial off Salisbury Road, but unlike previous years this has been done alone by our Groups Scout Leader, Donna, who said it felt even more poignant without the large crowds who normally gather for the wreath-laying.
