Cubs Summer Fun

The Adventure Doesn't Stop for Summer!

The Cubs have had a busy Summer enjoying some of our fantastic sunshine.

They had a great camp at Clanfield, near Horndean in East Hampshire. As you can see from the photo above, they climbed Butser Hill, the highest point on the South Downs at 889 feet (271m). They also found time to visit the RN Dockyard in Portsmouth, where they viewed HMS Victory. It looks like some of the leaders were over-worked and had to lie down!

In July they also had a great time enjoying the facilities at Testwood Lakes, getting out on the water to try out kayaking and sailing. I'm sure many of them will be looking forward to moving up to the Scouts, where boating is a regular part of the activities.
