Tom Hall died on 16th August after a short illness. He was used to battling with his health after being diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 6. He joined Cubs and lived his life as a true Scout should. He demonstrated that determination and hard work allowed you to realise your dreams, but at the same time he put a huge amount of effort and time in helping other people. He and his family were instrumental in the 4th Eling Sea Scout new HQ build – opened June 2013. After becoming a Helper with the Cub Pack instead of joining Venture Scouts he continued as one of the first Young Leaders in 2001.
